SYPNOSIS
Barclay’s ordinary life becomes a world of terror when an ancient species rises from the sea. As UNIT fights for control, the summit on the Thames reveals terrifying secrets.

Worldbuilding
Barclay reads Black Archive files on two Homo reptilian settlements from the era of Pangaea: the Conjunction Citadel in Serbia and a Homo reptilia metropolis in Egypt.
Kate and Shirley wear badges on their lapels showing the centre of the UNIT logo without the wings, a circle with two lines circling it.

Continuity
Barclay recalls accidentally booking Kate Stewart a taxi to Splott. Splott was the home of Bernie Harris, the death of whom was investigated by Torchwood Three. Ianto Jones noted how estate agents pronounced it “Sploe”, however Kate chooses to pronounce it “Splott”. (Ghost Machine)
